On May 7, the Adult & Teen Challenge National Office hosted a town hall covering the Forging Our Future (FOF) National Conference, scheduled for June 27-30, 2021, in Orlando. The webinar featured appearances from Gary Wilkerson, Randy Ruiz, Gary Blackard, and ATC National Office staff members.
Wilkerson, president of World Challenge and son of ATC founder David Wilkerson, expressed his support of ATC and its mission.
“I think Teen Challenge is positioned to be the key remedy to primary crises that are taking place in the United States, and what a great place to be,” Wilkerson said. “I look forward to being with you at the National Conference. It’s great to continue this legacy and your participation in it…Thanks for being on the cutting edge.”
Ruiz, an evangelist and a primary speaker at the National Conference, led a devotional on the power of a vulnerable heart and stressed his belief that God will move powerfully at FOF.
“We’re praying, we’re believing, and God is moving,” Blackard, ATC CEO, said. “This conference is, I believe, going to be a pivot for this ministry in what God really wants to do.”
In addition to a speaker lineup including John Maxwell, Dr. John Townsend, and Ryan Hawk, FOF will feature an all-day prayer room where attendees can receive intercession for their needs.
“We’re really focusing on spiritual refreshment,” Wendy Buttacy, ATC chief learning officer, said.
Buttacy also gave pertinent conference information during the town hall.
The Rosen Centre, the conference’s host facility, operates under numerous COVID-19 safety protocols, including facial temperature scanners, electrostatic cleaning machines, and additional room space for social distancing. ATC will provide masks and sanitation stations for attendees.
This year, ATC is hosting its first Kid’s Conference, which will run concurrently with FOF. Due to limited capacity, the Kid’s Conference is sold out, but anyone wanting to register their children can join the waitlist.
ATC will provide many of its conference resources via the Guidebook app. Guidebook provides several comprehensive features, including a full schedule, conference notifications, a notes section, and a live chat. Most importantly, attendees must sign up for preferred breakout sessions on Guidebook. ATC will send the link to reserve session seats via email to every registered attendee on June 1.
FOF will also feature major giveaways, the largest of which is a $25,000 Speed the Light vehicle grant. Attendees must be present in the sessions to win.
“We want to bless you guys,” Buttacy said. “You have been putting in the work. You are our heroes.”
“There is a growing anticipation within leadership,” Blackard said. “We really believe that the Lord is going to prepare our hearts for a harvest like we’ve never seen before, so come expectant and ready for the Holy Spirit to work.”
