The 2020 SAMHSA Recovery month theme, “Join the Voices for Recovery: Celebrating Connections,” emphasizes the need to share resources and build networks across the country to support the many paths to recovery. It reminds us that substance abuse affects everyone, and we can all be part of the solution.
Across the country recovery communities are planning events to spread awareness about the effectiveness of treatment and recovery. During this month we will focus on the positive strides that people have made in their individual recoveries. We will highlight inspiring stories of people from different walks of life who have found the path physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being and hope for their future—drug free.
At Adult & Teen Challenge, we will be celebrating graduates of our programs who have found a substance-free path to physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Their hope for the future is our hope for the future; fewer people struggling with addiction.
Remember that “addiction affects everyone”. Recovery does as well. With your help throughout the month of September, more Americans affected by substance abuse disorder will find hope within reach.
