God Did Not Give Us a Spirit of Fear

“For God gave us a spirit not of fear, but of power, of love and self-control” (2 Tim 1:7 ESV)

These are extraordinary times we live in and it is exciting to see what God will do through this ministry in spite of a pandemic. We are already hearing stories of donors being faithful to God’s call, the protection of staff and students, and how thousands of churches are mobilizing support. Praise God!

Our hearts and prayers go out to all impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. We’re inspired by the selfless healthcare workers around the world who are on the front lines working tirelessly to care for people in need.

What We Are Doing

Our number one priority is the health and safety of our students, employees, families and communities.

Our over 1,600 staff members remain diligent in caring for those in our centers. While we are all in uncharted waters, Adult & Teen Challenge was founded on prayer and the grace of God. Our core values are integrity, excellence, service, and leadership. These will continue to guide everything we do.

What You Can Do

  1. Pray
    • Pray for the health and safety of our students and staff. We have over 260 locations across North America. If you wish to pray more specifically, you can use the center finder on our website to see center names and locations. Also, continue to lift up first responders, health professionals, and government leaders.
  2. Give
    • Please continue to be consistent in your donations to all Adult & Teen Challenge organizations. Many have been forced to cancel fundraising events, but they still have regular bills to pay. You can donate securely online through our website.

We have amazing staff across the Adult & Teen Challenge network. This moment reminds us that we’re all connected like never before. We’re called upon to be our best selves, with patience, understanding, and compassion. On behalf of all of us at Adult & Teen Challenge, we’re committed to be your prayer partner and persevering together in all the days and years ahead.

As we go forward, we’ll be sure to keep you updated, and know that we always value your questions, ideas, and feedback.

Sincerely,
Gary Blackard
