Teacher - Pine Mountain Boys Academy

Job Description/Summary: Pine Mountain Boys Academy, a Christian boarding school for at-risk teen boys ages 12-17, is looking for an engaging, creative academic teacher. Teachers must possess excellent computer skills and be familiar with web-based curriculum. Candidates must be willing to uphold Biblical principles and Christian philosophy of education. 

The Academic Teacher will be expected to use teaching techniques to achieve curriculum goals and affect student learning; to uphold a Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum and to model a consistent, daily walk with Jesus Christ. 

At Pine Mountain, school for students in the evening, so teacher shifts are from 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM. Any applicants must be able to work evening shifts. 

Type of Candidate/Qualifications 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in related fields such as education, math, English etc. is preferred, but we will train the right person with comparable education and experience 
  • A background check and pastoral or ministerial leader reference are required
  • At least 21 years of age and a good driving record for the past 3 years
