Kitchen Manager

The Kitchen Manager provides healthy meals for ATCOT students and live-in staff as well as maintains a safe, clean kitchen, in compliance with all applicable regulations. This position requires a leader passionate about ministry, mentorship, and culinary excellence, with the ability to balance administrative duties, team supervision, and food service.

Qualifications:

He/She shall be a person of spiritual maturity, amiable to the Assemblies of God doctrine, and in full agreement with the ATCOT mission statement.

High School diploma or GED.

Ideally credentialed as a minister or pursuing credentials in the AG or doctrinally similar fellowship.

Maintain a state approved Food Managers License.

Must complete mandatory TC Bridge courses within first 30 days of employment.

Must complete PSNL/GSNL Certification and Complete Principles of Biblical Counseling within 120 days of employment.

Must participate in Ultimate Journey phase 1 & 2.

Proven experience in kitchen management or related culinary roles.

Strong leadership and delegation skills with the ability to maintain a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Knowledge of USDA nutrition standards and health and safety regulations.

Flexibility to work irregular hours and participate in ministry activities.

Passion for mentoring youth and engaging in ministry work.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with menu planning and cost control.
Ability to lead and inspire kitchen teams in a Christ-centered environment.
Strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: 

At least 1 year full time ministry experience

Relationships: 

The Kitchen Manager is responsible to the Program Coordinator.

Responsibilities: 

He/She will primarily serve as a minister to students in the ATCOT program.

His/Her responsibilities include but not limited to: 

Conduct Bible studies and Facilitate Ultimate Journey

Lead prayer

Disciple students

Conduct evangelistic outreach

Engage in Religious Instruction

Work with other departments to comply with all Texas DFPS regulations

Participate in campus events and chapels as required

Prepare meals for the students

Maintain a clean kitchen which is at or above all standards set by the state

Order supplies for the kitchen and maintain an adequate inventory

Create healthy menus appropriate for students, including those with dietary issues

Serve the food

All other duties as assigned by Director
