Evening & Weekend Resident Tech

TITLE: Live-in Resident Tech

SCHEDULE: This position is a live-in full-time schedule rotates every other week as follows and/or any other times assigned by the Director. Meals and housing will be provided while on duty.

WEEK 1 – Sunday 3 pm – 10:30 pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm, OFF Friday and Saturday

WEEK 2 –OFF Sunday, Monday – Thursday 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm, Friday 3:30 pm – 11:30 pm, OFF Saturday

PAY: This position pays $10.00 – $12.00 an hour (excluding overtime pay; included in this rate is rent-free room on site and the cost of meals while on duty). Overtime has to be approved by the Director. The workweek is Sunday through Saturday. Pay checks are usually distributed / deposited on the last day of the month for that month.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be a stable, mature Christian with a passion for the Lord and enthusiasm to serve Christ in a ministry environment.

2. Must have previous training in the Bible, with the ability to expound the Word to students. Must have a willingness to serve and understand importance of flexibility in this role as week to week needs may vary in the ministry.

3. Must have or be able to obtain a valid NC driver’s license.

4. Must be a non-smoker, a non drinker, and not involved in any form of sexual immorality.

5. Good social and conflict resolution skills (not easily offended).

6. Psalm 133:1 proclaims, “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!”- Must be willing to live in a community setting with women coming from different backgrounds, personalities and ages in a shared space.

7. Must pass background check.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Teach Group Studies as assigned (encouraging spiritual growth by assisting with practical application of scripture, character qualities and processing of topical lessons), supervise student activities at the Haven and on ministry outings, role model Christian living in a live/learn environment and help facilitate smooth operation of the ministry.

WORK RESPONSIBILITY:

1. Supervise daily schedule as assigned.

2. Lead morning and/or evening devotions as scheduled.

3. Responsible for training students on daily jobs and supervise work detail as needed. Inspect jobs for completeness as per the job description posted in the work area.

4. Drive students to church and other activities as requested.

5. Assist in supervising activities as assigned.

6. Assist in teaching Group Studies as assigned.

7. Assist in teaching dance/choir practice.

8. While on duty, shall be responsible for visibly monitoring students and for reporting to the other staff any behavior or violation of rules.

9. Assist with maintenance of ministry home and grounds as needed.

10. Participate in staff meetings.

11. Other jobs may be assigned from time to time, flexibility is key!

EXPECTATIONS:

As a Resident Tech, you are to work alongside the students and instruct them in the ethics of work, as well as how to do an assigned task.

As a Resident Tech it is our hope and desire that you will continue to grow in your spiritual walk, as well as your ability to handle the job responsibilities listed above. The Resident Tech will be expected to participate in opportunities for further training as presented.

While on duty it is expected that the Resident Tech will be proactive in building positive relationships that are encouraging to the students.

While on duty it is your responsibility to know where the students are at all times.

The Resident Tech will be trained in policy and procedures that involve the upkeep and maintenance of the house which will include fire drills and fire safety.

It is strongly suggested that the Resident Tech have an accountability / mentor partner.

Pay: $10.00 – $12. 00 per hour
