Working for The Refuge Girls Teen Challenge, you will be on the front lines of generational change, fully supported by our team. Direct Care Staff care for adolescent girls in the residential program academically, mentally, spiritually, socially and emotionally. You oversee chores, assist with schoolwork, implement the choice-consequence model and help build social emotional skills. Direct Care Staff Live In is the position where you do not need to have a residence in Lebanon to work at The Refuge. A studio apartment along with all internet, utilities, room and board and an hourly wage are provided. Shifts are assigned in eight hour increments.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to communicate effectively, both orally/in writing, Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, Ability to handle and work with conflict resolution, Ability to positively and effectively interact with staff and students
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED, College Degree Preferred, Female, 21 years or older and single status, Valid Driver’s License, Be able to pass a background check.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work both in/outside; be physically fit with minimal physical limitations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work is performed on campus with occasional trips off campus.
