Job Summary
We are seeking a highly-motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to assist the daily operations of our Super Thrift store. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for leading a team of staff and volunteers, managing inventory, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a well-organized and appealing store environment. This role requires a blend of retail management skills, a heart for our mission, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people, including program participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Assist with leading, mentoring, and developing a team of staff, volunteers, and program participants.
- Store Operations: Assist with overseeing all retail functions, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, security, and cleanliness.
- Customer Service: Ensure an excellent customer experience and maintain a positive, Christ-centered store environment. Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner.
- Donation and Inventory Management: Assist with managing the intake, sorting, pricing, and display of donated merchandise to maximize sales and maintain stock levels.
- Financial Oversight: Assist with meeting revenue goals to maximize financial support for the addiction program.
- Compliance: Assist with administrative duties and scheduling, ensuring compliance with all policies, safety standards, and local regulations.
- Mission Integration: Serve as a positive role model and integrate the mission of Adult & Teen Challenge into daily store operations.
What You Bring:
- 2 Years proven experience in retail management, thrift experience is an asset
- Strong organizational, financial, and people-management skills.
- A servant-leader mindset and a deep commitment to the Christian mission of Adult and Teen Challenge.
- An ability to work with and support individuals in the recovery process.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
