Teen Challenge is seeking dedicated and ministry-minded individuals to serve as Interns in our Adult Centers. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on ministry experience while mentoring students in a structured, Christ-centered environment. Interns play a vital role in maintaining the spiritual and daily structure of the center, serving as role models and support staff under the direction of leadership.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Teen Challenge graduate
- Preferred experience as a team leader in a men’s, women’s, or adolescent facility for individuals with life-controlling issues
- Demonstrated maturity, sound judgment, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks with excellence
- Committed to the mission, principles, and policies of the Teen Challenge ministry
Goals of the Position:
To gain meaningful ministry experience while providing positive spiritual mentorship and daily support to students in the program.
Responsibilities:
- Follow instructions from the department supervisor and/or program director
- Monitor and document student behavior; issue disciplinary write-ups when necessary
- Enforce center schedules including student wake-up and lights-out routines
- Lead devotionals and pray with and for students as opportunities arise
- Drive students to appointments or events (with prior approval)
- Participate in fundraising events and assist with ministry income streams
- Be available for flexible scheduling, including day, evening, or weekend shifts
- Demonstrate a heart to serve beyond scheduled shift hours when needed
- Attend required church services as outlined in the Intern Responsibilities Handbook
- Complete all required training and curriculum as part of the internship

This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain ministry experience while offering guidance and mentorship to teens overcoming life-controlling issues. Interns play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the center and fostering spiritual and personal growth in the lives of students.

- Must be a Teen Challenge graduate
- Preferred experience as a team leader in a facility serving adolescents with life-controlling problems
- Demonstrates maturity, strong judgment, and a heart for working with youth
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to be a positive role model and complete tasks with accountability
- Must agree with and uphold the principles and policies of the Teen Challenge ministry
Goals of the Position:
To develop ministry and leadership skills while providing meaningful mentorship and support to adolescent students in a faith-based recovery environment.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out tasks and assignments as directed by the department supervisor and/or program director
- Serve as a mentor and spiritual role model, building healthy relationships with students
- Observe student behavior and help enforce daily schedules, including wake-up and lights-out routines
- Issue write-ups and follow disciplinary procedures in accordance with center policies
- Lead or assist with devotionals and spiritual activities
- Pray with and for students, encouraging spiritual growth
- Drive students to appointments or outings as needed and approved
- Participate in fundraising activities and other income-generating efforts for the ministry
