Kitchen Supervisor
The Kitchen Supervisor at Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas is a live-in staff position that oversees all kitchen operations, providing administrative leadership to ensure smooth and efficient meal service. This role involves planning and coordinating the preparation of three meals a day for 60–100 people, including students, interns, & staff while ensuring that all meals are healthy and meet dietary needs. The supervisor is not responsible for cooking but leads the kitchen team, manages inventory, and orders supplies from the food bank, Gordon Food Service, and other vendors.
Additional responsibilities include creating menus that align with the program’s goals, planning meals for work calls, and maintaining compliance with all food safety and cleanliness standards. This position emphasizes a holistic approach to nutrition, ensuring all students are nourished physically while supporting the mission of Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas. The ideal candidate is a person of spiritual maturity, aligned with Assemblies of God doctrine, and possesses strong administrative and organizational skills. This is a crucial role in providing both physical and spiritual sustenance to the community.
