Program Manager
Job Summary:
The Program Director will oversee the daily operations of Brush Creek Youth Ranch. The primary focus is to improve the systems and structures to ensure successful program outcomes, and training and equipping staff to meet the needs of the students and families that are served. The Program Director works under the direct supervision of the Adolescent Executive Director and works in coordination with other departments. The Program Director exercises a high degree of independent decision and judgement in relation to scope of duties and responsibilities. The Program Director exercises full supervision of the BCYR program and other designated areas of responsibility, including participation in the select of new personnel, training, performance evaluations, communication to parents / guardians, responding to grievances, disciplinary problems with staff and students, crises management, and other daily operations of the program.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruits and trains new staff.
- Conducts annual job performance evaluations.
- Assists the Executive Director in overseeing facilities and ranch personnel.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepares quarterly and annual evaluation of reports of the ministry’s effectiveness.
- Organizes administration functions of the program.
- Coordinates with department heads on student and staff management.
- Establishes a formal means of accountability for BCYR staff.
- Ensures program compliance with TCUSA accreditation standards and federal / state / local agencies.
- Organizes and delegates administrative functions.
- Formulates program policies including developing and implementing program policies and procedures.
- Assists the Executive Director in program planning and budget preparing for the program.
- Discloses student information and records to outside inquiries in conformance with Federal law.
- Continues outdoor activities for the boys (archery, hunting, fishing, camping, etc.).
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Willing to be trained in hunter safety and education or assign such duties when possible.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Five years’ experience required, or combination of education and experience.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and prolonged periods of standing.
- Intermittent physical activity including standing, kneeling, walking across campus, bending, reaching and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Walking, standing, and running may be required during outdoor activities.
