“If you’re saved in prison, it’s important to get connected with a church when you get out to stay grounded,” Kovach says. “So many things can go wrong; we cannot do this on our own.” If an inmate who has been locked up for years goes back to his or her old haunts, Kovach says the likelihood of returning to prison goes up exponentially. Kovach, 53, became a Christian in prison and went directly to
