Program Coordinator
The Program Coordinator serves as a department head at their local Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas (ATCOT) campus, with the responsibility for the discipleship and well-being of students and interns outside of classroom and Work Experience Program activities. As we aim to be a fully functional bilingual campus, it is ideal that this role be filled by someone proficient in both English and Spanish to better serve our diverse student body.
Qualifications:
- Must be a person of spiritual maturity, live a spirit-filled life, be aligned with Assemblies of God doctrine, and in full agreement with the mission of ATCOT.
- A minimum of two years of relevant leadership experience is required; Teen Challenge ministry experience is highly desirable.
- Should possess a current understanding and working knowledge of addiction and its impacts, with a firm belief that the only true cure is found in Jesus Christ.
- Completion of the Effective Biblical Counseling course or its equivalent is required.
- Ideally credentialed as a minister or pursuing credentials within the Assemblies of God or a doctrinally similar fellowship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is preferred.
- Completion of the OSHA 10-Hour Course is required.
- Must be organized, able to multitask, and physically capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Five years of experience in Teen Challenge or a similar program.
- Certified minister within the Assemblies of God or a doctrinally similar fellowship.
Relationships:
- Reports directly to the local ATCOT Campus Director.
- Collaborates closely with the Vocational and Education Coordinators on overlapping student and program responsibilities.
- Participates in weekly student evaluations and coordination meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Primarily serves as a minister to students, with duties including leading Bible studies, prayer, discipleship, evangelistic outreach, and religious instruction.
- Oversees the physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being of students, ensuring adherence to all relevant standards and regulations.
- Supervises Program staff, making decisions regarding student activities and placements.
- Coordinates with Vocational and Educational Coordinators regarding student work activities and academic progress.
- Maintains discipline within the program and oversees student conduct and advancement.
- Ensures proper maintenance and safety of the residential facility, vehicles, and equipment, including monthly reporting on completed and needed repairs.
- Handles admissions calls and interviews when necessary, and is on-call 24/7 for student emergencies.
