Position: Program Coordinator – Life Renewal (Outpatient Counseling Services) for the Portland Outpatient facility

Position Description:

The program coordinator is responsible for managing the development and administrative management and counsel clients and help them to become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well and spiritually alive for the Community Outpatient Referral Program (including telehealth) at Life Renewal Behavioral Health. This includes monitoring quality assurance, building community relationship to build admission, training new staff, developing and maintain cost-effective and efficient work flows along and assuring compliance with relevant ethical standards, regulations and contract requirements.

Education, Training and Experience:

Cultural competence or proficiency.
Preferred master’s degree in counseling, social work or a related field that can lead to mental health licensure in Oregon.
Minimum of 2 years counseling experience in addictions treatment.
Minimum of 2 years’ management experience OR management preparation in the form of graduate studies in business, public health administration or a related field.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Computer literacy; functional ability with Word, Excel and Google Suite
Excellent organizational skills.
Experience writing and implementing policies and procedures
Experience in public speaking
Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop reports to provide data to internal and external partners and helping lead lead data-based decision making
Provide leadership that promotes a sense of mission- Helping put HOPE in the reach of ALL Addict. Exhibiting a passion for ethical, culturally appropriate, evidence based, trauma informed and outcome informed treatment practices
Team-building and fostering shared leadership and good morale.
Represent Life Renewal at Adult & Teen Challenge PNW in a way that demonstrates our faith-based mission and that supports healthy partnerships demonstrating respect and good will.
Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and careful stewardship of resources.
Engage Life Renewal staff members in expanding the use of electronic resources to promote concurrent documentation and virtual session, increased training, outcomes-based care and other measures that improve efficiency, productivity, transparency, and quality.
Ensure that the Community Outpatient Referral Program (CROP) and the Telehealth programs at Life Renewal have effective, consumer-friendly and seamless intake processes and means to facilitate clients to rapidly engage in treatment.
Guide and maintain processes for regular monitoring of the accuracy and completeness of the CROP Program’s client electronic medical records.
Work with the Program Director & Clinical Supervisor to ensure that staff members have adequate training.
With the Program Director and Clinical Supervisor, ensure adequate processes are in place for individual and third-party billing and collections and monitor the collection of those fees.
11. Provide individual and group counseling, client education strategies to avoid inappropriate chemical use and health problems related to chemical use, transition services, and services to address issues related to co-occurring mental illness.

12. Lead client psychoeducation lecture classes as required.

13. Participate in the weekly care team meetings to review and update client progress notes.

14. Initiate and maintain ongoing communication/coordination of care with client referral, probation, social service agencies, etc.

Work with Clinical Supervisor to guide and maintain processes for fidelity observation of counselors’ clinical activities.
16. Complete managed care needs with client’s insurer as needed.

Responsible to ensure and/or deliver and properly document the provision of treatment services including the Initial Service Plan, Comprehensive Assessment, Individual Treatment Plan, Progress Notes, Summary at Termination of Services, and the maintenance of client records in accordance with OAR 309-019-0135 and 309-019-0140.
Maintain current licenses and certifications and monitor supervisees’ maintaining and/or acquiring licenses and certifications.
Be a Champion for the CROP and the Telehealth program both internally and externally.
Other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
Supervision Received:

The all the clinical works is under the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor who determines goals, assigns work and reviews performance for overall effectiveness through reports, observation and conferences. All program development and administrative management will be under the direct supervision of the Program Director. Employee shall exercise a high degree of independent decision and judgment in relation to scope of duties and responsibilities.

Supervision Exercised:

Exercises full supervision of the therapy component and other designated areas of responsibility.

Recruiting Requirements – Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

· CADC I (Required)

· CADC II (Preferred)

· QMHP (Preferred)

Hours: 40 hours with 2 evening and some Sunday morning for promotional events.

Travel to varies sites within the State of Oregon is Required.

Special Requirements:

1. Possession of a valid driver`s license in State of Oregon.

2. Must be able to attest to the fact they have been free from chemical use problems for at least two years immediately preceding the date of hire. Chemical use problems are defined as:

a. Receiving treatment for chemical use

b. Chemical use that has had a negative impact on one’s job performance.

c. Chemical use that had adversely affected the credibility of treatment services the individual was providing.

d. Displaying any symptoms of intoxication or withdrawal on the job.

e. Criminal convictions (including driving violations) involving chemical use.

3. Must have or obtain 12 hours of training in co-occurring mental health problems training within six months of hire

4. Ability to work within the Life Renewal Mission: To assist teens and adults in gaining freedom from chemical addiction by applying Biblical principles in establishing a chemical-free lifestyle, enhancing social skills, improving work habits, building supportive relationships, and growing in personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $27.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Masks required, increased sanitation & hygiene measures, following all CDC guidelines of social distancing and PPE requirements. Virtual meetings where possible, including interviews if needed.
