Lead Staff
Summary:
Lead Staff will provide spiritual leadership and encouragement to the students while also continually supervising students. Full time. Live-In.
Qualifications
- He shall be a person of spiritual maturity, amiable to the Assemblies of God doctrine, and in full agreement with the ATCOT mission statement
- Complete the Effective Biblical Counseling course or an equivalent course
- Knowledge of Christian discipleship and mentor relationships
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ideally credentialed as a minister or pursuing credentials in the AG or doctrinally similar fellowship
- 30 hours of training in childcare or related field (Provided by Bastrop)
- Maintain First Aid and CPR certification (Certification training provided by Bastrop)
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree
- At least 1 year full time ministry experience
Relationships
- The lead support staff is responsible to the Program Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
He will primarily serve as a minister to students and keep order in the program.
His responsibilities include but not be limited to:
- Conduct Bible studies
- Lead prayer
- Disciple students
- Conduct evangelistic outreach
- Engage in religious instruction
- Work with other departments to comply with all Texas DFPS regulations
- Participate in campus events and chapels as required
- Supervision, mentoring, and interacting with residents during various activities, which may include but is not limited to school, work periods, free time, and recreational activities
- Administer discipline as is necessary according to New Hope policies
- Minister to students as opportunity arises and/or during scheduled sessions
- Become a mentor to students
