Food Service Manager

JOB SUMMARY:
Supervise, administrate and oversee all aspects of the Teen Challenge Food Services. Maintain compliance with TCUSA certifications, food bank guidelines, all state & federal requirements and standard safe food best practices. Be a Role Model and example to all staff. Working in a controlled environment within the ATCM facility.

Skills/Additional Qualifications:
High School or GED, Teen Challenge graduate or Special Ministries training. Previous cooking and processing vegetables experience required. Culinary food preparedness classes desirable, but not required.
Previous institutional food service experience at supervisory level is highly desirable.
Valid and clean TN driver license with a class D
- Ability to work as a team member and/or individually with minimum supervision.
- High attention to detail with excellent organization and time management skills in preparing food for ATCM individuals.
- Ability and willingly accept corrective and instructive criticism.
- Possess a temperament that is kind, generous, firm and willing to address problems and conflicts to a satisfactory conclusion in a timely manner.
- Be a Positive Christian Role Model and actively growing in a mature walk with the Lord.
- Ability to administer direction, instruction and correction to students and staff subordinates.
- Willing to take further training related to food services to help improve overall skills.
- Capable of handling changing priorities effectively by being flexible.
- Fully agreement with our Code of Conduct, TC Mission Statement, Statement of Faith and Philosophy of Ministry.
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and enthusiasm to learn new skills within field.
- Possess good overall computer skills with the ability to interact via email and use of text communications.
- Effectively communicate with students, other team members, management and have the ability to maintain a rapport with a wide variety of people.
