The role of Facilities Coordinator, in general terms, is to manage the Kitchen and Property Management teams assigned and being an example and mentor to the women who come to our ministry seeking help.

We are looking for someone who is a born again Christian to align with our strong mission and beliefs. This person exhibits a spirit of humility, excellence and compassion. We believe in cultivating a strong sense of family, with our residents, employees, partners, volunteers and donors. The relationship being of higher importance than the transactions or tasks.

By providing long term discipleship programs and aftercare, we give opportunity for women to have life transformation.

Job Responsibilities

Will oversee the Food Services Department.

  1. Hiring and training of food services personnel.
  2. Writing job descriptions for all assistants and supervisors.
  3. Planning nutritious menus for all meals.
  4. Making sure that all kitchen equipment is maintained in working order.
  5. Maintaining a food inventory sheet.
  6. Ordering food through distributors, and purchasing other needed food items and supplies.
  7. Overseeing food preparation for special events, such as Christmas banquet, Graduation, Volunteer Luncheon, picnics, etc.
  8. Changing or amending clean up, snack clean up and general kitchen procedures.
  9. Posting weekly kitchen clean up, and monthly snack clean up.
  10. Training all food services staff on proper safety procedures. For example: how to put out fire, safe food handling techniques, safety measures for using the kitchen appliances.

 

Will oversee the Housekeeping and Maintenance Department.

  1. Supervising and training Ladies in their responsibilities.
  2. Ensuring the cleanliness of the Home.
  3. Ensuring rooms are prepared for guests.
  4. Maintaining the order of buildings
  5. Maintaining the medical cabinet, and fill first aid supplies as needed.
  6. Will oversee donations for ladies needs and blessings, and send out blessings receipts.
  7. Help train on maintenance equipment and responsibilities. Work closely with the Property Manager (or Business Manager)

 

Will maintain monthly budget for House Supplies and Food. Submit the Gift-in-Kind to accounting on a monthly basis.

Be an example and mentor to the women

Be willing to confront the challenges of working with women in recovery with love, grace and kindness

Other duties as assigned, such as presenting in churches, attending chapel services, staff development and training, etc

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong communication and public speaking skills
  • Two-plus years of proven success if having a substance abuse background
  • Demonstrated potential in organizational, managerial, and leadership skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize duties
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Microsoft Excel is a requirement
  • Flexibility and patience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Not afraid to get hands dirty if required; ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to help at events and stand for long hours if necessary
  • Valid Drivers license required
