Position: Box Truck Driver / Receiving and Intake

Locations Hiring: Bend, Oregon & Salem, Oregon & Missoula, Montana!

– About Pacific Northwest Adult & Teen Challenge Ministries –

Adult & Teen Challenge Pacific Northwest is a ministry that provides resources for addiction recovery. Our main goal is to “put hope within reach” of every addict. Our inpatient programs are 12-15 months and combine with outpatient counseling services and vocational training at our Teen Challenge Resale & Donation Centers. Our Resale & Donation Centers are an intrinsic component to the ministry of Adult & Teen Challenge Pacific Northwest. They provide educational opportunities for students to learn job skills and positive work ethics as well as provide a source of revenue for the ministry. Employees of our Resale & Donation Centers will have a unique opportunity to provide customer service and store services to the community, while working with our students – providing to them ministry, a connection to the community, and necessary skills like teamwork and real-world work experience.

Job Duties and Tasks:

We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of the value of antiques and furniture. Must be able to lift, carry and load furniture and appliances.

Operate large box truck.

Able to lift and carry 50lbs or more.

Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Bag, box, lift, bend, carry and wrap merchandise.

Answer the phone and direct calls according to department.

Answer customer’s questions and provide a brief overview of the program.

Ability to obtain a knowledge of policies and procedures relative to assigned scope of duties and responsibilities – all of these are available in our Employee Staff Manual & Student Handbook.

The ability to work in harmony with other staff personnel.

Emotional maturity, professional objectivity and the ability to act in a Christian manner.

The ability to carry out the directives of the store manager.

Experience and Training:

1. High School Graduate or Equivalent.

2. Demonstrate a competency to effectively interact, work with and supervise participating students.

Special Requirements:

1. The ability to work with money and have basic math skills.

2. Physically able to handle the requirements of the position.

3. Must have excellent customer service skills.

4. Driver’s License is required.
